**_Overview:_**
Experienced technician with a minimum of 3 years in industrial environments, specializing in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of overhead crane systems. Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on safety, precision, and customer service.
**_Key Responsibilities:_**
+ Perform day-to-day operations involving crane service, including troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems.
+ Conduct monthly and annual OSHA-compliant inspections of hoists and cranes.
+ Train to perform safety checks and ensure all equipment meets OSHA standards.
+ Maintain and manage equipment data (e.g., serial and model numbers) to support quoting, repairs, and parts ordering.
+ Identify and procure replacement parts; collaborate with customers and engineers to complete repairs efficiently.
+ Maintain, adjust, clean, and repair crane hoisting mechanisms and related components.
+ Test mechanical and electrical functions; lubricate and check oil levels as part of preventive maintenance.
+ Notify supervisors of defective parts or malfunctions and communicate safety or performance concerns to customers.
+ Document all inspections, services, and work hours electronically using a tablet.
**_Work Environment & Physical Requirements:_**
+ Travel to customer sites for service work (90% field-based, 10% overnight travel).
+ Handle extended drive times depending on service territory.
+ Lift and carry equipment weighing 50+ pounds (e.g., money counting machines) in and out of client locations.
+ Perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting up to 60% of the time.
+ Stand for extended periods (up to 75%) while servicing equipment.
+ Use hand/wrist dexterity for tool use and part placement.
+ Spend approximately 10% of time on administrative tasks including scheduling, bench repairs, and computer work.
**_Skills & Qualifications:_**
+ Core Skills: Electrical systems, mechanical systems, troubleshooting, hand tools, preventive maintenance, equipment installation and repair.
+ Top Skills: Electrical diagnostics, mechanical repair, hands-on troubleshooting, tool proficiency.
+ Additional Expertise:
+ Installation, modification, and repair of overhead crane systems.
+ OSHA-compliant safety inspections and documentation.
+ Service experience in industrial environments such as steel mills, auto plants, foundries, and machine shops.
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a crew in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues.
+ Effective communication with customers and internal engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
