The opportunity

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an energetic people leader to join us to manage our Hobart and Launceston Workers Compensation Claims teams within the People Risk division. Using your proven people leadership and strategic skills to lead an experienced team of Claims professionals and drive operational efficiencies and staff engagement.

About the role:

Providing influential leadership to motivate and develop a team of Claims professionals.

Ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service to our customers and broker partners.

Monitor panel provider performance

Conduct 80/20 and peer reviews and provide training and guidance to the claims team.

Drive operational effectiveness, positive staff engagement and team culture.

Maximising team performance by driving change and optimising service delivery

Facilitating learning and development opportunities for the team and developing talent

Undertaking Process improvement initiatives

About you:

Experienced leader skilled in engaging, motivating, and developing staff.

Strong communication abilities and an open-minded attitude.

Insurance claims management experience, especially in Workers Compensation or long-tail classes is advantageous.

Highest professional approach to all aspects of claims handling.

Possess the ability to build and foster strong relationships, both internally and with our key partners.

The attitude and ability to embrace and implement change

Passion for people development.

Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
