Our client, an industry leader in vehicle development and automotive services, is seeking a Service Engineer to join their team. You will be part of the Vehicle Development Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Service Engineer 4
**Location:** Bay City, MI
**Pay Range:** Competitive hourly rate of $48.91
**What's the Job?**
+ Represent advanced serviceability of design within the Vehicle Development Process.
+ Identify, address, or escalate serviceability issues using business case analysis.
+ Develop and communicate service requirements and diagnostic procedures.
+ Participate in Product Development Team meetings, Design for Manufacturing reviews, and peer reviews for assigned service subsections.
+ Collaborate with Service Parts Engineering, Design Release Engineers, and Suppliers to develop service part release strategies and subsystem service plans.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
+ 8-10 years of relevant experience in automotive or technical service roles.
+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication tools like Lotus Notes.
+ Strong understanding of automotive repair, electrical/electronic diagnosis, and blueprints reading.
+ Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50-75% of the time, often on short notice.
