We boldly go. **Job Summary:** As a Server Solutions Engineer at Trane Technologies, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining cloud-hosted server environments to ensure optimal security, system integrity, and performance. This position is also responsible for contributing to company standards and strategies regarding Hosting services. Duties will include configuring and managing servers across multiple operating systems, installing systems, solutioning company requirements, and performing analysis as necessary. You will proactively enhance server performance and reliability, design and implement enterprise technology solutions, and stay current with industry advancements. Team members work onsite Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires. **What you will do:** + Design, implement, and maintain server systems, ensuring high availability and performance. + Handle tier 2 support escalations from Server Administrators, application teams, and other internal customers. + Identify and articulate technical challenges and risks, providing effective solutions. + Engineer and implement system solutions for internal customers utilizing appropriate technologies. + Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance overall service reliability. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve server architecture. + Create and maintain documentation related to server configurations, procedures, and policies. + Develop security configurations to safeguard server data and ensure compliance with industry standards. + Configure and manage cloud-based server environments. + Provide technical server solutions for business requirements. + Participate in diverse IT projects, business projects and strategic decisions. + Deliver innovative solutions to challenging customer problems. + Leverage lean agility to drive process improvements and automation leading to better employee experiences. + Partner with our business partners in projects and M&A activities to solution and support the proper strategically secure client endpoint solution per the business’ needs. **What you will bring:** + Bachelor’s degree in a related IT technical field. + Minimum of 5 years of IT technical experience in server management and support, with a strong understanding of server architecture and operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.) + Proficiency in server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash). + Ability to effectively collaborate with other teams and leaders to achieve a positive, productive outcome. + Demonstrates professional attitude and awareness. + Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills. + Exceptional oral and written communications skills. + Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. + Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. + Ability to demonstrate global strategic thinking and solution skills. + Has a broad technical IT knowledge and awareness of industry trends. + Ability to work as part of a virtual team. + Constantly seeks process improvements. + Ability to evaluate priorities and drive effective time management. + Ability to verbalize issue/solutions between different technical and non-technical teams. **Compensation:** Base Pay Range: $ 130,000 to $140,000 Total compensation for this role will include a incentive plan. This base pay range is based on US national averages.
