Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer - Modeling Simulation and Analysis (MS&A). This position is located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get to Do
The selected candidate will support a diverse team of engineers comprising the Systems Engineering Team (SET) Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis (MS&A) team on a variety of projects supporting Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) weapon system accuracyFill in gaps to support completion of one or more of the following projects: physics-based predictive modeling and simulation of ICBM accuracy performance, maturation of Sentinel accuracy error models, post flight estimation of Sentinel accuracy performance, estimation of accuracy error model parameters using ground and flight test data, validation & verification (V&V) of Sentinel accuracy error models, preparation of Sentinel accuracy reports, and presentations of projects and studies to Northrop Grumman Sentinel leadership and USG customersAssist SET MS&A leadership in interfacing with external team partners to ensure that analysis data required for CDRLs is received and provided on time to support execution of the Sentinel Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)Assist in developing and tracing requirements for MS&A tools and analysesAssist SET MS&A leadership with Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting against the Sentinel IMSBasic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 12 years of experience; 10 years with Master’s Degree; 8 years with PhDMust be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needMust be able to support program tasks in a secure lab environment (on site) for a minimum of 90% of their total work timeExperience with physics-based mathematical modeling and simulationProficiency with scripting (Python, C++/C#, SQL, MATLAB, R or similar) - 3 years of experiencePreferred Qualifications
Outstanding skills in building rapport and interfacing with external team partnersProactive self-starter capable of identifying gaps and problems in/with processes and proposing and implementing solutionsExperience with complex requirement development and traceabilityExperience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reportingExperience with Northrop Grumman change request (CR) and engineering review board (ERB) processesExperience with agile processes and Atlassian tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence)Position Benefits

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
