Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join its team. This position is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

The selected Sr. Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Will provide technical leadership for the development of Interfaces for Major Maintenance Vehicles (MMV) for the Support and Training Segment System Engineering, including architecture development for internal and external interfaces using MBSE concepts.The System Engineer Interface Lead will work with design and integration teams across Support and Training and other segments in program development. Using good interface practices to work Interface Requirements Specifications (IRS), Interface Control Documents (ICD), Interface Control Models (ICM), and other engineering and program documentation for the interface requirements for Major Maintenance Vehicles (MMV).Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Support Equipment.Analyses are performed at all levels of MMV support equipment product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into MMV and total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Performs and lead functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into MMV specifications.Leads, develops, and reviews Interface requirements within DOORS and CAMEO MBSE product toolsets.Create and maintain Interface Control Model (ICM) using NXAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8 years of experience or 6 years with a master’s degree or 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of direct CM/DM experience may be used in lieu of a degree.Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, including Top Secret clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs1 year of experience in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Tools (Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsody or similar)1 year of experience with Requirements management tools (DOORS, for example)1 year of experience in NX for engineering developmentPreferred Qualifications:
4 years of experience in System Engineering (SE) process, including 'V' Model and experience across multiple levels of integrationUnderstands Support Equipment and uses, i.e., Peculiar (PSE) and Common (CSE) Support EquipmentExperience with and desire to mentor junior engineersExperience with large scale aerospace/defense projectsPrimary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
