Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:

Synthesize software requirements into verification requirements, software test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for system-level tests and demonstrations.Execution and reporting on system level testing.Participate in internal and customer software test planning working groups.Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment specific to software.Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.Collaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, software development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.Review software test plans, procedures, and reports, witness testing as the Cognizant EngineerParticipate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.Identify, analyze, and adjudicate software deficienciesDesign, develop, and maintain software test plans, software test reports, and software test procedures in compliance with program functional, technical, and performance requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Engineer Software: 02 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 1 year with Masters. 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.

Principal Engineer Software: 05 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 03 Years with Masters. 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.

Experience with PythonAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile development methodology

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with automated testingExperience with requirements-based testingExperience writing test plans, procedures, and reportsExperience operating in an agile work environmentExperience with DevSecOps environmentsExperience with the Jira and ConfluenceExperience with distributed version control software (eg Git, Mercurial, SubVersion, etc)

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
