The Sentinel Mission Defense Team (MDT) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified system engineer to serve as a Principal Subcontract Technical Engineer. You will critically analyze supply chain solutions that meet all program requirements and manage supply chain risks to ensure positive supplier performance through all phases of the program life cycle from capture to sustainment. You will be the main focal point to the subcontractor Management team and accountable to the Mission Defense Team System Security Engineering (MDT SSE) leadership and Technical Lead. This role will be located in Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package
**Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:**
+ Serve as the main focal point to the subcontractor management team and be accountable both to the MDT System Security Engineering and Supply Chain leadership.
+ Engage with major subcontractors and their sub-tier suppliers to ensure peak performance and on-time delivery of a quality product.
+ Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to achieve supply chain management excellence through quality, cost-effective design, and technical risk assessments.
+ Manage and evaluate suppliers’ key system security and supply chain risk management practices.
+ Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
+ Evaluate and monitors supplier quality and reliability; support required delivery schedules.
+ Manage the review of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) deliverables within Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
+ Perform supplier assessments, defect data analysis, collaborate with subcontracts, engineering, and supply chain management to identify, resolve, and monitor supplier quality issues.
+ Ensure compliance with Global Supply Chain policies and procedures.
+ Drive continuous product / process improvement at subcontractor level.
+ Participate in a variety of working groups and customer meetings; ensure communication of risk environment with stakeholders.
+ Execute completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments.
+ Self-starter with strong time management skills.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5+ year of related experience, or Master's degree in STEM with 3+ years of Experience or 1 year with PhD.
+ Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
+ Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
+ Minimum 3 years of applying systems engineering principles
+ Minimum 3 years in showing strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including contracts, engineering, quality, and operations teams.
+ Minimum 3 years demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with major subcontractors and their sub-tier suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
+ A solid understanding of Program Protection applicable to US Government Defense Programs and applied knowledge in the application of SSE principles across a broad spectrum of security measures (Cybersecurity, Counterfeit Awareness, Anti-Tamper, HW/SW Assurance, OPSEC, etc.) to protect critical program information (CPI)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Proven experience interfacing with subcontractor management teams, ensuring alignment with both system security engineering and supply chain leadership directives.
+ Experience in evaluating suppliers’ key system security and supply chain risk management practices, and performing supplier assessments and monitoring quality and reliability
+ Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
