Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Civil & Structural Design Engineer on the Infrastructure Design Team (INF). This role supports the design, modeling, and integration efforts for Civil/Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical elements for Launch Facilities, Launch Centers, or Test Facilities. This position is in our Strategic Deterrent Systems Division to execute the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the Sentinel program in support of the United States Air Force. This position will be located in Roy, UT.

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating civil/structural systems design for the Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.Subject matter expert supporting the design of high complexity civil/structural systemsInterpret and verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables.Participate in project design/model reviews.Review vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution.Support the delivery of facility design Technical Data Packages, Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts.Ensures design product quality by reviewing civil/structural designs and validating that current standards are applied.Supporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issuesDeveloping and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline.Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities.Developing and maturing Civil/Structural facility designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations.As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

Basic Qualifications:
Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM with 0 years of related experiencePrincipal Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience, or a PHD Degree in STEM with 0 years of experienceBoth Level Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
