Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Test Principal Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Synthesize test requirements into verification requirements, test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for system level tests and demonstrationsSupport the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reportsExecution of qualification and acceptance testing per those requirements, plans and proceduresParticipate in internal and customer test planning working groupsSupport program reviews and customer delivery (CDRL) developmentDesign, develop, and implement testing methods and equipmentCompile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirementsCollaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing processReview test plans, procedures, and reports; witness testing as the Cognizant EngineerParticipate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverablesReview requirements, develop Test Plans and write Test ProceduresExecute tests, manage and prioritize problems/failuresReview and evaluate test results and provide summary reportsWork with cross functional, multi-discipline test teamsIdentify configurations to support test and prototypes of developing systemsPerform data analysis of input, internal, and output message dataDocument test results and prepare test status documentationCreate Test Discrepancy Reports to document issuesDevelop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree; 3 years with a Masters; 1 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, WordExperience working with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence, Jira)Experience coordinating and leading integrated testing activities with multiple test teamsWorks well in a team environmentExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and managementExperience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout)Understanding of entire product lifecycle, modeling and engineering best practicesExperience with design and development of mechanical/electrical systemsExperience with data collection/instrumentation methodsExperience in troubleshooting anomalous hardware and software

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.Experience coordinating and leading integrated testing activities with multiple test teamsExperience with ICBMs (MM, PK, Small Missile) or DOD programsHands on experience with equipment maintenance, fabrication, assembly, power, hand and measuring toolsExperience testing and/or troubleshooting complex systemsExperience developing test plans and test proceduresExperience with mechanical/electrical design engineering principlesExperience with development, planning, and execution of qualification and acceptance test plans, as well as supporting design and test reporting and reviewsExperience in DOORS and CameoExperience with NXExperience with TeamcenterExperience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, drawing creation, tolerance stack-up analysis, etcExperience in using and understanding engineering industry standards, Mil-Specs

Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
