Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Aeronautical Engineer.  This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Develop customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that acknowledges technical schedule and cost constraints.Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules.Review and evaluate test requirements for completeness of test program.Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts, Element Test teams, System Test teams, and other stakeholders to identify test objectives, test requirements, and risks that require test to mitigateSupporting development of instrumentation requirements for Hardware in the Loop testing.Identify test support requirements and coordinate with Design & Integration team for budget and personnel needsOverseeing test activities in support or requirement verification and validation.Conduct daily briefing and approve test start for each test eventApprove Break of Configuration on the test floorConduct tabletop reviews and dry run test procedures with test team prior to executionCoordinate and conduct Technical and Safety Review Boards, and Test Readiness ReviewsSupport customer Test Plan Working GroupsCoordinate with Quality organization for test supportReview and approve major test amendments

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

5 Years related experience with BS; 3 Years with MastersMust have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, WordExperience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout)Experience with Software and/or Hardware testing experienceExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and managementWorks well in a team environment

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.Works well in a team environmentProficiency in MS OfficeAutomated Test experience (development and execution). (LabView, Simulink, or equivalent)Agile experienceExperience with Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysMLExperience designing and setting up a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) type test lab

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
