Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Integration and Test Manager 3 for the Onboard Test Equipment (OBTE) IPT within the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Segment. This position will be located in Roy, UT with occasional travel to other hub locations that will support the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:
This role will work directly with the IPT and Deputy Leads to organize and execute the OBTE integration and test scope of work on the Sentinel program which will include providing programmatic and engineering leadership to the integration and test team. The OBTE Integration and Test manager will be responsible for managing requirement allocation to test events, overseeing supplier integration and test activities needed to demonstrate compliance to vehicle dynamic environments, executing OBTE IPT testing events, managing the element integration and test laboratory, coordinating cross-IPT integration activities onto the missile, and coordinating with government stakeholders on testing activities and approvals. This position programmatically reports directly to the OBTE Director to align strategic priorities.
In this position, the OBTE Integration and Test Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Lead and direct a team of I&T engineers and technicians in the integration, testing, and deployment of the OBTE element during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of program. Lead the test execution team in the development of test plan and procedure documentation, on-vehicle assembly and checkout procedures, development of support equipment designs, and be the primary point of contact for coordination with other IPTs for test execution.
Hardware in the Loop Integration and Test – Lead the lab team in the execution of the Hardware in the Loop Testing to validate the functionality of hardware and software configurations. This includes but is not limited to understanding test requirements, development of test plans and procedures and execution and supporting the Integrated Functional Capability test and certification effort.
Customer Interface Management – Will be a primary point of contact for internal and USG customer interaction and coordination for the OBTE test team. Will coordinate with stakeholders at Test Readiness Reviews, Integration Readiness Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and will participate in working groups and teams that OBTE test events.
System Architecture and Verification Planning - Help lead the design and development of requirements verification decisions within the system architecture in coordination with systems engineering and suppliers.
Design Change Impact Assessment - Ensure that approved design changes in hardware and software are compatible with existing components and subsystems, particularly for efforts requiring the support of more than one engineering discipline, through test and integration.
Requirements-based Testing and TLYF Management - Ensure program master test plans, integration concepts and integration flows developed are constructed in a Test Like You Fly manner and verified.
Data Review Management – Lead the process and review products for formal data review and hold the engineering teams accountable for objective, efficient and timely review of test data to ensure compliance to flight induced dynamic environments.
Employee Management – Oversee the performance, progression and mentoring of OBTE Integration and Test engineers on the team. Authority to manage personnel and direct activities required to accomplish the statement of work.
Risk Management – Identify and manage risk associated with execution of the OBTE integration and test scope of work in accordance with program risk management framework.
Schedule and Cost Reporting Management – Own the test execution cost account and perform reporting and status on a monthly basis through program management reviews. Accountable for the cost, schedule and quality of the Integration activities reported through the Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Travel – May be required to travel up to 25% to support testing activities at supplier locations or secondary integration locations.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience.
US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
2 years of demonstrated Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
Knowledge of system integration and test principles and test plan development at any level of build (unit, sub-system, system, etc.)
Ability to travel up to 25% to support testing activities at supplier locations or secondary integration locations.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
3 years in a formal management/leadership role of team or department.
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 10 years’ experience, or Master’s and 8 years’ experience, supporting US Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance.
Experience leading engineering development of systems related to Onboard Test Equipment (Telemetry Systems, Instrumentation, Flight Termination Systems, Integration & Test, Range Safety Requirements (AF-MAN 91-710), Flight Testing)
Previous Experience standing up a lab environment/Hardware in the Loop test bed
Experience overseeing supplier execution of dynamic and thermal environmental testing
Experience using DOORS Requirements Management Database.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and meet program commitments in a highly concurrent engineering environment
Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
