A Nuclear Surety engineer has the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a system designed to provide another 50 years of security for this great nation. A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman on the Sentinel program will be provided the opportunity to:
Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementationProvide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon systemParticipate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systemsEvaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manualsInterface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systemsUse model based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern designLearn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and MunitionsBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experienceMust have experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, GIT, JAZZ, NX, CapitolMust be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.)Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needSole Citizenship to the United States of America

Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
