Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an IFC Systems Architect at either the Principal Systems or Sr Principal Systems level. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:
As an integral part of our IFC Architecture team, you will be responsible for defining key capabilities and functions allocated to system incremental builds (IFC's), development of the supporting Sentinel weapon system architecture, and optimizing the way we work through the Cameo modeling application to enhance collaboration across systems engineering and software design functions.
You will have the opportunity to:
Define technology maturity constraints as they relate to program integration eventsCoordinate with integrated product teams for establishing threads of functions and requirements within the architecture modelDevelop descriptive system models to include logical & physical diagrams at various abstraction layersCoordinate verification strategies at Segment and Subsystem level with Segment / Subsystem ownersMaintain technical consistency across multiple levels of weapon system requirement and architecture baselineEnsure defined capabilities are adequately understood by development teamsElicit and unify architectural methodologies used amongst product teamsDevelop training resources and communicate to both internal and external stakeholdersBasic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems level (T03) or Sr Principal Systems level (T04).
Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 year with a PhD.
Sr Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Required for Both Levels:
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needPrevious software engineering, systems engineering, or technical project management experienceProficiency in architecture and design practicesExperience developing model-based systems engineering products in CameoPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with Sentinel or MMIII weapon systemsExperience building and integrating large Cameo modelsExcellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with senior management, peers, and employeesGeneral understanding of Northrop Grumman Corporation Engineering ProcessesExperience related to end-to-end testing of complex systemsExperience with Agile/DevOps methodologies, practices, and toolsPosition Benefits

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
