Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.  

What You’ll Get To Do:

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers.Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliersOptimizing volume pricing through bid package strategiesEvaluating supplier proposals and placing compliant purchase ordersExtracting, monitoring, analyzing, and validating data information from multiple sourcesDeveloping engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners/customers to drive problem resolution

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. 

This position can be filled as a level 3 or a level 4

Job Qualifications

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience, 3 years with Masters, 1 year with PhD, or 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeMust have 3 or more years of supply chain, material planning, or closely related experience  

Sr Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience, 6 years with Masters, 4 years with PhD, or 12 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeMust have 5 or more years of supply chain, material planning, or closely related experience

Required for Both Levels: 

Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needExperience with SAP (business system) or similar ERP systemProficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointProfessional experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include logistics, manufacturing/project management, business management, leadership, or information systems

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiencesDemonstrated high attention to detailAbility to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills 

Salary Range: $71,600.00 - $107,400.00Salary Range 2: $89,100.00 - $133,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
