Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Systems Engineering Manager 3 to be located in Roy, UT. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
As an Engineering Manager/Lead (S03) of the AVE SEI MS&A Environments team, you will serve in helping guide all the Environment efforts across the AVE. This individual will report directly to the AVE SE&I MS&A leadership and provide direction to all environments leads and interface directly with the various IPTs to inform and provide understanding of key data and results. This candidate will provide leadership to all environmental efforts and ensure that the tasking is properly assigned and completed within MS&A Environments team. This manager/lead will need to be able to provide technical authority across the AVE segment with respect to the environmental requirements.
The responsibility includes oversight/review of the analysis and test approach, at all levels, to ensure it is thorough and consistent with guiding industry standards and best practices. Specific activities include review and approval of CDR analyses and results, model verification and validation plans, qualification and proto-qualification test plans and procedures, qualification and proto-qualification test reports.

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8 years of related experience
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a period of time, that meets current business needs
• Minimum of 3 years in a formal management position
• Experience in Program Execution, Staffing, Engineering Metrics and Training resources, Processes, and Tools
• ICBM experience
• Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team, or manager
• Experience in Flight environments analysis
• Experience developing Test setup, Flight Environments products for a major development program
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations
• Demonstrated experience leading a team through an EMD program in compliance with program requirements
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
• Experience in performing in an Agile environment and knowledge/understanding of JIRA
• Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and efficient manner
• Demonstrated technical writing experience in both authoring and reviewing formal analysis documentation; strong ability to verbally communicate technical content to senior engineering leadership
• Demonstrated experience working with customers and senior leadership to ensure project success
