Position Summary:
The Senior Web Applications Developer is accountable for the end-to-end design, development, delivery, and maintenance of complex, custom Internet applications, as well as providing advanced production support with minimal oversight. This role leads functional and technical analysis, including requirements gathering, systems architecture, design, programming, and comprehensive documentation for approved projects and initiatives.
The incumbent will also drive root cause analysis for software defects in both production environments and applications under development, ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develops and applies organization-wide information models for use in designing and building integrated, shared intranet/internet information management systemsDevelops and implements middleware solutions to provide Internet access to application databases Constructs logical business improvement opportunities consistent with corporate information management guiding principles, cost savings and open systems architecture objectivesParticipates in the gathering of and compilation of technical information for the following project related tasks: scope of work definition, project documentation, design specification documents, functional requirements documentation and other development related deliverables as deemed necessaryAdheres to standards of analysis, coding, naming conventions and documentation as defined by MoheganAdheres to the best practices in project management, programming, software development lifecycle and rapid development concepts as defined by MoheganAdheres to best practices of code management including but not limited to: source code control, production control practices and the standards of production systems access as defined by MoheganWorks independently with little or no supervision on moderately complex projectsParticipates in peer code reviews for his or her code or code produced by othersParticipates in or conducts testing including but not limited to; unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, system testing or user acceptance testing as requiredParticipates in meetings, requirements sessions, internal to IT and with business customers, as requiredParticipates and contributes to systems architecture designs and documentation when requiredDemonstrates a working knowledge of key business systems that are at Mohegan or similar businessesLearn new programming and development skills as requiredDocuments or assists in the documentation of programming problems for future referencesDemonstrates a thorough understanding of the software lifecycle and root cause analysisSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field or a related field, with five years’ work experience in a company setting responsible for development in one or more of the following languages: Springboot, HTML, Angular, SQL, XML, JAVA, .Net, JavaScriptAt least three years of programming experience must be in a company environment supporting enterprise level applications with greater than 5,000 employeesExperience as a backend Web Developer with a minimum of three years working with Adobe Experience Manager, DAYCQ console, Java Content Repository, and DAM. Strong focus on server-side technologies including Java, Sling, and OSGi, building reusable AEM components, developing backend APIs, and integrating data through REST and SOAP calls from mid-tier and backend systems.Strong understanding of core web technologies, including XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, XHTML, JSP, RESTful web services, tag libraries, and JSTLFamiliarity with CI/CD practices and related tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker, and LinuxSolid grasp of web architecture concepts, including responsive design, session management, caching, and cookiesComprehensive knowledge of content publishing, development life cycles, code deployment processes, automated testing, DevOps, and Agile project managementProficient in debugging and troubleshooting issues, with the ability to deliver effective solutionsKnowledge of W3C standards, SEO best practices, and ADA compliance requirements for websitesExperience with source control systems, including Git and BitbucketExcellent written and verbal communication skillsObtain and maintain at least one or more applicable gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictionsCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Certifications as required by MoheganKnowledge of Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT) and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)Demonstrated expertise in the configuration, programming, and analysis of industry standard websitesDemonstrated competency in HTML, JavaScript, JAVA, Active Server Pages and ODBC connectivity required strong knowledge of a major RDBMS (Snowflake, Oracle or MS-SQL) is requiredDemonstrated analytical skills and critical thinking skillsDemonstrated self-awarenessTraining Requirements:
