Job Responsibilities   Engineer will support H&H, ES&C, drainage and SWM tasks associated with bridge replacement and highway improvement projects for multiple clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with a focus in Delaware and the surrounding states. Engineer will interact with clients regarding technical challenges with opportunities to perform project management if desired. Engineer will develop plans, technical reports and specifications. This position will offer diversified projects and assignments with different clients.

Required Attributes

PE Required Education: BSCE Years of work experience: 5-12 years. Experience including: hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, stream restoration design, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, erosion and sediment control design, drainage design, stormwater management design, plan review and plan and report preparation. Essential Software Tools: Microstation v8i, ArcGIS, HY-8, HEC-RAS, Storm and SewerCAD, WinTR-55, WinTR-20, HydroCAD, SMS/SRH2D Produces high quality technical writing for use in reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents Plan production via MicroStation with design experience strongly preferred. Understanding of state DOT design criteria with prior project experience with DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT, DCDOT, and/or PennDOT projects. Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and written skills

Computer Skills Required

Microstation ORD, ArcGIS, HY-8, HEC-RAS, Storm and SewerCAD, WinTR-55, WinTR-20, HydroCAD, SMS/SRH2D.

Preferred Attributes

Masters Preferred Exhibit leadership qualities necessary to lead project related tasks and mentor entry level engineers. Comfort interacting with clients regarding technical challenges with opportunities to perform project management if desired. A strongly motivated individual with the ability to work on multiple concurrent assignments while serving multiple roles within a team environment. Interacting in the engineering community via leadership positions in professional societies is preferred and encouraged.
