The Senior VDC Coordinator will lead the BIM/VDC support process across multiple projects simultaneously. The Senior VDC Coordinator will be the technical subject matter consultant and responsible for facilitating relationships with client, design, and project teams.
The Senior VDC Coordinator is responsible for BIM Execution Plan development, the evolution of the federated building information model, file management, project site walk-throughs, progess imagery capture, ensuring project team members are aligned with the BIM process and adherence to the project BIM execution plan and associated deliverables. The ideal candidate may need to assist MEP/FP trades with troubleshooting their models for deliverable conformance. This position requires advanced knowledge of building construction, advanced knowledge of MEP/FP systems, maintenance and shut off clearances, and coordinating these systems against Architectural and Structural design model elements. The right candidate will also ensure the federated model conforms to client desired content and quality for deliverable.

Detroit, MI based team with ability to travel to our client projects on a long-term basis.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience and relevant education including a bachelor’s in architecture, engineering, industrial, or combination of construction related training and experience.Experience with hands on application of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BluebeamMust be able to work in a fast paced, collaborative, team environment and/or independentlyProficient in Navisworks to include clash detection, reporting and managing clash resolutions iProficient in Autodesk ACC Software and associated workflowsProficient in BMS/FM processes and how they interface with model data for asset trackingExperienced in design and field construction processesAdept in construction logistic plan creation (2D or 3D) for visual process information conveyance.Skillful in converting 2D sketches or drawings into 3D modelsPC experience in Windows/ MS Office applicationsSkilled in web-enabled applications associated with the aforementioned software platformsPossess exceptional interpersonal organization and communication skillsTakes initiative, able to be a self-starter, energetic, goal focused and quality oriented
