The Senior Vice President of Operations (SVP Ops) serves as the operational and financial leader for the division, comprised of markets managed by Market Vice Presidents (MVPs). The SVP Ops is responsible for divisional operations, quality and financial outcomes, referral development, and stakeholder relationships for hospital-based outpatient wound care centers.
The SVP Ops is a seasoned healthcare executive with demonstrated success creating operational discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement within large, distributed healthcare organizations. With deep expertise in the healthcare regulatory environment, clinical workflows, revenue cycle, staffing, quality, and workforce optimization, this leader drives accountability, growth, and sustainable success.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
· Manages a defined national geography (division) with a diverse set of locations/centers and effectively transitioning centers to become centers of excellence.
· Serves on the senior operations leadership team and has shared accountability for an integrated approach to meeting overall division/division goals.
· Full P&L accountability for division, including revenue growth, expense management, margin performance, and capital deployment
· Forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance reviews in partnership with senior operational leadership and Finance
· Continually assesses, develops, and retains talent within their division.
· Coaches and develops Market Vice Presidents in business planning, leadership and talent development, sales and account management, and strategies for growing the business.
· Develops a business plan for division to include key strategies for improving results.
· Drives consistent execution of key processes, protocols, and procedures across all centers.
· Cultivates relationships with hospital C-Suite to develop and retain business opportunities.
· Responsible for the implementation of effective account management strategies/plans and provides building blocks for regional business development success.
· Accountable for the achievement of mission critical and performance targets through division resources.
· Provides leadership for operational excellence initiatives and develops a culture of continuous improvement.
· Improves profitability by optimizing operational effectiveness and efficiency.
· Displays and practices a visible, open, and motivated leadership style throughout the organization ensuring that direct reports and employees understand the vision, values, and management style required to lead the company through its next growth phase.
· Recruits and develops extraordinary talent and leads a high-performance organization.
· Serves as the driving force for major initiatives or task forces as outlined and supported by the executive team.
· Partners closely with business development, Healogics Specialty Physicians, Finance, HR, IT, Compliance, and Medical Affairs to execute division strategies.
· Acts as a connector between field operations and enterprise strategy.
· Accountable for clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience outcomes across the division, in partnership with Medical Affairs and Quality leaders
· Understands the wound care business and uses that knowledge to guide Market Vice Presidents in business planning.
· Understands how to motivate and retain providers, nurse managers and operational leaders.
· Drives a culture of compliance.

· Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills; ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, and team members.
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
· Must be proficient in the use of the following software/applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based applications.
· Delivering on the concept of service excellence and ultimately customer retention; accountable for achievement of the division’s goal and the ability to lead others to their own high level of accountability with a strong focus on compliance.
