Senior Trading Operations Analyst
An exciting career awaits you

At MPC, we’re committed to being a great place to work – one that welcomes new ideas, encourages diverse perspectives, develops our people, and fosters a collaborative team environment.

Position Summary

The NGL Trading Analyst supports the NGL Trading team by providing commercial, market, and analytical insights across domestic trading and a growing international export business. This role works closely with traders who execute physical purchases, sales, buy-sells, and exchanges for propane, normal butane, isobutane, and naphtha, as well as financial derivatives used to manage NGL price risk on behalf of MPC.

This position is a growth opportunity for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a clear interest in a commercial or trading career. The Trading Analyst will develop a deep understanding of NGL supply, demand, and market fundamentals while performing a critical function on a fast-paced and expanding team.

While the role primarily supports Houston-based traders, the broader NG/NGL/Petrochemical analyst team is distributed across multiple corporate offices. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and demonstrates strong communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.  While the focus of this role is NGL trading activities, a successful candidate will have exposure to members of the natural gas and petrochemical trading teams.
