We are looking for a seasoned API Automation Testing professional with 6–8 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation solutions for RESTful services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Rest Assured, Selenium, and SQL, along with the ability to drive quality initiatives in Agile environments.
• Design and implement API automation frameworks using Rest Assured
• Automate REST API test cases covering functional, regression, and integration scenarios
• Validate API responses, request/response payloads, headers, and authentication mechanisms
• Perform backend/database validation using advanced SQL queries
• Maintain and enhance UI automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle)
• Review automation code and enforce best practices and quality standards
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to understand API designs
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and ensure timely defect resolution
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and release activities
Required Skills
• 8–10 years of experience in Software Testing, with strong focus on API Automation
• Excellent hands-on experience with Rest Assured (Java)
• Good experience in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation
• Strong proficiency in Java
• Solid expertise in SQL for database testing and data validation
• Experience with TestNG / JUnit
• Strong understanding of REST architecture, JSON/XML, and API security (OAuth, tokens)
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle
• Sound knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Good to Have
• Experience with Microservices-based architectures
• Exposure to API performance testing
• Knowledge of Postman / Swagger
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloud platforms
• ISTQB or relevant QA certification.
