In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, ensuring our advanced vehicle systems are safe, reliable, and ready for the future of mobility. **What You’ll Be Doing** Imagine starting your day collaborating with a talented team, where your expertise keeps our cutting-edge test vehicles and facilities running at peak performance. Success in this role means driving innovation, ensuring safety, and making a measurable impact on Toyota’s ADAS/ADS development. + Own the maintenance and safety of IVS test vehicles and facilities, ensuring seamless operations + Retrofit and optimize ADS/ADAS sensors, data acquisition systems, and specialized equipment for maximum performance + Lead and execute public road and closed course evaluations, delivering actionable insights on ADAS/ADS system performance + Analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that drive continuous improvement + Foster a culture of safety and teamwork, supporting the Automated Technician Group and collaborating across departments **What You Bring** Set yourself up for success with these valued qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in a technical or academic field, or equivalent work experience (4+ years) that provides a strong foundation in vehicle systems and technology + Experience using data acquisition equipment to capture and analyze critical performance metrics + Proven ability to troubleshoot vehicle systems remotely via phone or video conference + Hands-on experience updating vehicle systems software and verifying functionality + Skilled in interpreting electrical systems drawings, specifications, manuals, and wire diagrams + Proficiency with OBD (On Board Diagnostic) and CAN (Controller Area Network) tools for system diagnostics + Expertise in using hand and shop tools to build test fixtures and assemble/disassemble vehicles + Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (30–50%) + Ability to work independently or lead a team, demonstrating initiative and collaboration **Added Bonus If You Have** + Accelerate your impact with these preferred qualifications: + Advanced degree that deepens your expertise in vehicle dynamics or related fields + Extra years of experience that give you a broader perspective on vehicle evaluation and testing + Specialized skills such as ASE certification, Toyota Driving Certifications, or experience writing software scripts to automate evaluations + Vehicle dynamics evaluation experience that sets you apart as a subject matter expert **What We’ll Bring** During your interview process, our team will provide you with all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
