Senior Technical Systems Analyst

Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Wealth Management Technology group has multiple complex enterprise-wide applications requires close technology management and system healthiness governance. In this role you will be highly focus on communication, collaboration, integration, automation and measurement of cooperation in order to provide a range of operational, business, technical, and system needs, to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Provide efficient Level 2 day-to-day support to critical Applications.Lead complex group meetings (including business partners) for problem solving, decision making and implementation planning.Manage maintenance initiatives from planning stage to closure for Data Applications by working with IT and Business partners as well as 3rd Party Vendors.Provide technical expertise and assist Development and QE teams during Projects executionManage Disaster Recovery exercises. Provide recommendations on improvements.Work closely with Audit and Compliance to ensure Applications controls are in place and up to standards.Research emerging trends/best practices to improve support and maintenance process.May act as team leader/supervisor. Provide direction, expertise, feedback, coaching and development to build the capabilities of more junior staff.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

Excellent analytical, planning, estimating, communication, presentation and leadership skillsProven ability to take ownership of and accountability for troubleshooting critical production issues, determining root causes and engaging proactively in applying long-term solutionsWorking knowledge of Unix/Linux, OpenShift, Java, UNIX scripting, Python, Kafka and MQ technologiesStrong relational database working knowledge on Stored Procedures, SQL, ETL (preferably Datastage) with a variety of data types and sources.Knowledge of application monitoring tools (Dynatrace, etc.).

Nice-to-have: 

Previous experience managing business critical applicationsExposure to DevOps (Jenkins, Urbancodes, etc.)Previous experience in Applications performance analysis and tuningStrategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and teams
