Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Calibration Service Lab, Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our calibration laboratory, warehouse, and logistics functions. This individual will be responsible for overseeing calibration service activities, managing inventory and material flow, and ensuring efficient and compliant logistics processes to support customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Calibration Service Lab Management:
Oversee all activities in the calibration lab including incoming inspection, calibration, testing, documentation, and certifications.Ensure all calibration work meets quality, traceability, and industry-specific standards (e.g., ISO 17025-1 and Other ISO qualifications).Lead a team of calibration technicians, providing training, performance feedback, and technical guidance.Maintain calibration procedures, tools, equipment, and documentation systems.Track KPIs such as turnaround time, first-time yield, and compliance audits.Work closely with other organization in Omiya such CSR (Customer Sales Representative, Sales, Finance, Quality) in a global and matrix environment.Be able to work with other calibration labs and BU management team to align on process and procedures.Promoting safety awareness and ensuring adherence to workplace safety protocols and regulationsBecome the site expert on all technical aspects of laser measurement equipment calibrationWarehouse & Inventory Management:
Manage warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping.Ensure accurate inventory control and stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.Optimize warehouse layout and material flow for efficiency and safety.Implement and maintain systems and processes for inventory and parts traceability.Support production and service teams with timely availability of materials.Logistics & Shipping:
Coordinate domestic and international shipping logistics ensuring on-time and cost-effective deliveries.Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, customs documentation, and trade compliance.Partner with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve logistics issues.Manage inbound logistics from suppliers and outbound logistics to customers.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field. Equivalent experience considered.5+ years of experience in a similar leadership role managing service labs, warehouse operations, and logistics.Strong knowledge of calibration standards, metrology equipment, and service processes.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and warehouse management systems (WMS).Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in Japanese and EnglishLean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., aerospace, medical device, semiconductor) is preferred.Familiarity with laser systems, optical components, and precision measurement instruments is preferred.Hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory or metrology equipment is strongly preferred.Experience with global companies, global matrix organization and working with global teamsKey Competencies:
