The Senior Technical Product Manager is responsible for owning and advancing monitoring capabilities, service readiness, and operational reliability for a portfolio of enterprise applications across Optum and UHG. The role focuses on enabling high-quality monitoring, ensuring compliant support readiness, engaging with business partners, driving prioritization, and coordinating cross functional technical efforts that directly support production stability and continuous improvement.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Monitoring Ownership & Implementation
+ Leads setup, validation, and ongoing refinement of enterprise monitoring solutions, ensuring major alerts are firing correctly, and monitoring coverage is complete
+ Confirms when monitoring tasks are complete and communicates operational readiness to stakeholders
+ Advises teams on required monitoring types including URL checks, database monitoring, health checks, and VBF/FDI instrumentation
+ Support Readiness & Compliance
+ Ensures applications adhere to Support Readiness expectations by verifying Vital Business Functions and monitoring coverage
+ Provide guidance to application teams on Enterprise Guidelines on application priority levels based on operational needs, lifecycle stage, and decom status
+ Cross Functional Collaboration
+ Acts as a technical liaison between application teams, business owners, monitoring engineering, and operations. Provides clarity on monitoring capabilities, requirements, expectations, and operational impact
+ Advises application service structures when systems are composed of multiple dependent services, explaining how this affects monitoring and incident workflows
+ Task Leadership & Execution
+ Owns and advances assigned request tasks, including monitoring requests and support readiness tasks, ensuring documentation is updated, and work is completed efficiently
+ Coordinates cross-team dependencies and provides updates to stakeholders on task progress and outstanding needs
+ Operational Insight & Issue Identification
+ Identifies gaps in monitoring or support readiness processes and communicates recommended improvements
+ Provides context and explanation for unexpected system behavior or operational issues, focusing on root causes and next steps
+ Reliability & Continuous Improvement
+ Supports initiatives to improve application reliability, reduce incident severity, and align with enterprise monitoring and operational frameworks
+ Recommends enhancements to monitoring design, thresholds, or instrumentation to support earlier detection and faster remediation
+ Primary point of execution for support readiness monitoring tasks and routing all monitoring tasks
+ Monitoring subject matter expert, educating teams on monitoring templates, worksheets, instrumentation requirements, and the role of monitoring in enabling operational SLAs

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
+ 3+ years of experience working with technology powered products and modern product discovery/delivery methods
+ Experience collaborating with technical and non technical stakeholders to advance work and deliver solutions
+ Experience driving continuous feedback loops to ensure customer focused delivery
+ Demonstrated experience prioritizing requirements and aligning tasks to business objectives, Objectives and Key Results, and product vision
+ Understanding of healthcare, health tech, reliability engineering, or enterprise platform services, depending on organizational context
+ Skilled in communicating challenges, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders
+ Proven ability to understand capabilities across a product portfolio and how features impact other functions or systems
+ Proven ability to build relationships, remove obstacles, and resolve conflicts across product and engineering teams
