This is a high visibility position in Flight Technical & Safety – part of Global Engagement & Training. This role will require strong communication skills, with the ability to interact across functions and levels.
Position Responsibilities:
Providing flight operations, safety and technical support to Boeing internal and external customers at multiple levelsMaintaining qualification as a Boeing Captain on at least one aircraft modelWorking with the other Technical Pilots and Procedure Coordinators in the 737 groupSupporting new aircraft and system development and certification effortsDeveloping and validating procedures and operating techniques and assisting other Technical Pilots with cross-model proceduresProviding information and specialized technical services to Company and customer flight crews to enhance flight operations efficiencyConsulting with cross-functional teams during accident investigations and analysisResearching, editing, documenting and coordinating publication of procedures and techniques for operating Boeing aircraftRepresenting Boeing as a technical expert by authoring and presenting professional papers at worldwide safety and flight operational forumsMeeting with regulatory agencies at the executive levelSupporting sales campaigns by discussing and demonstrating aircraft and new flight technologyServing as a consultant to senior management and other industry professionalsSupporting simulator testing and qualification effortsWorks under minimal directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
FAA ATP or foreign equivalent certificate with the appropriate endorsementsMinimum 3000 flight hoursExperience flying transport category aircraftCurrent 737 type ratingProficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Aircrew Safety training experienceExperience creating and revising procedures and checklists also highly desired.Instructor or check pilot or FAR 121 line experience on Boeing aircraft highly desiredCurrent FAA Class II medical certificate or international equivalentBachelor's degree or higherLocation:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Boeing office Japan Tokyo Office. (Tokyo, Japan)
