Senior Tech, Environmental Health & Safety

As part of our Environmental Health and Safety team, we’ll provide you with the resources needed to ensure you can keep our Draper manufacturing plant running smoothly. Your commitment to creating an effective and healthy working environment helps co-workers connect and feel engaged, allowing teams around the world to better contribute and focus their renewed energies on the patients we support. **How you'll make an impact:** • Maintain full ownership of specific EHS programs assigned by EHS Manager (for example: Radiation Badge Safety, Forklift, LOTO Programs, etc.) • Conduct inspections and compliance reviews for laboratories and manufacturing. Follow up on closure reports. Complete hazard recognition and provide general safety direction. • Participate in process hazard reviews of new and existing equipment to ensure EHS issues are addressed and evaluated • Collect and trend resource consumption (water, electricity, fuel, waste, emissions, etc.) and prepare EHS reports on the EHS performance for management review. • Develop training materials for EHS topics. Track training and ensure availability of training records. • Participate in emergency response team activities to ensure facility is prepared in the event of an emergency and drive continuous improvement. • Update EHS procedures per management direction. • Collaborate with all departments and stakeholders to ensure the fulfillment of all plant EHS goals and objectives • Other incidental duties **What you'll need (required):** • Associate's Degree or technical degree/certificate (e.g., Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certificate in Hazardous Materials Management (CHMM), Hazardous Waste Operations Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)), AND 2 years previous related experience OR • 4 years previous related experience **What else we look for (preferred):** • Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills • Problem solving methodology, root cause analysis, and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) • Good computer skills, including usage of MS Office Suite • Understanding of EPA, OSHA, local and federal regulations • Ability to perform more complex troubleshooting • Ability to identify problems and relevant issues in straightforward and more complex situations, assessing using standard procedures • Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to lab and/or clean room medical device manufacturing • Strict attention to detail • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams • Provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control Edwards is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer including protected Veterans and individuals with disabilities. **COVID Vaccination Requirement** Edwards is committed to protecting our vulnerable patients and the healthcare providers who are treating them.
