Senior Tax Associate
Job Description A client of Insight Global is looking for a Senior Tax Associate to join their team remotely. Our client is a newly formed practice that has broken away from the traditional CPA firm mold. We have shed the audit side of accounting and are focusing on tax compliance, tax consulting, venture capital, wealth growth, tax strategy, and proactive tax maneuvering. The firm integrates a multi-family office feel into a CPA firm by serving as our client's first point advisors when it comes to client's tax, investment, and business management needs. We are looking for smart, personable, and hard-working individuals that want to further their career in tax while also gaining exposure to a variety of financial tools, nation's top wealth strategies, and detailed business dealings in a variety of industries. This is an opportunity to learn areas that traditional CPA firms cannot offer. Employees will work closely in all aspects with their clients with the intention that they have or gain a well-rounded expertise in preparing returns and consulting for a variety of different clients. Candidates will work closely with the practice director to gain the experience in these different fields. * Senior will report directly to the manager and signer on the account. * Senior will be responsible for the preparation of higher-level tax returns, intricate planning/projections, extensions and estimated taxes, and the completion of applicable transactions. * Senior will be included on day-to-day client correspondences and will be active in maintaining client accounts and fulfilling client requests. * Senior will be included in higher level meetings to learn more intricate strategies that we are involved in. Compensation: $90-115k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements -Bachelors degree in accounting or related field - 3 to 5 years public accounting experience - High volume tax return preparation experience to include individual returns, partnerships, trust/estates, and pass-throughs - CCH Axcess or CCH engagement software experience - Highly motivated to grow in your career and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment - Ability to handle a variety of different projects at once - Adaptable and open-minded, not fearful of change or the unfamiliar - CPA or EA is a major plus
