**Location:**
St. Louis, MO 63102 (Hybrid – 3-4 days onsite)
**Duration:**
12 months, with potential for full-time conversion
**Rate:** $26/hr on W2
**Senior Tax Assistant – Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform tax return filing activities
+ Upload, scan, and manage tax documents
+ Communicate with clients in the Tax department as needed
+ Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and tasks
**Requirements:**
+ No prior tax background required; training will be provided
+ Familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
**Tax Accountant I – Key Responsibilities and Duties:**
+ Assist in preparing appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal, state, and local jurisdictions
+ Help file tax payments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
+ Review financial statements, expenses, and prior tax returns to contribute recommendations for future filings
+ Apply knowledge of tax regulations to perform complex accounting and reporting tasks
+ Share tax knowledge and experience internally for business functions, including RFP (Request for Proposal) responses and other tax-related topics
+ Support the review of various tax issues impacting the company and draft memos to document positions on these issues
+ Seek guidance from senior management regarding complex tax circumstances and challenging problems
**Educational Requirements:**
+ University degree preferred
**Skills & Qualifications (Applicable Across Both Roles):**
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
+ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
+ Ability to learn and apply new processes quickly
+ Strong communication skills
