The Role:
As a Senior Tax Analyst in the US Tax Reporting & Analysis group, you will be responsible for aspects of the U.S. Consolidated Federal Income Tax return with a focus on US capital asset book to tax adjustments and US research & development (“R&D”) tax reporting. This experienced tax professional will be a valued member on a team that performs complex compliance and provision activities, leads special projects, and provides support for the IRS income tax audit. The role will challenge you to combine technical and business knowledge to complete a high-quality work product, adapt to a rapidly changing legislative environment by documenting compliance positions and demonstrate critical thinking skills through the implementation of controls and analysis.What You Will Do:
Analyze high volume of data from disparate systems to prepare complex capital asset book to tax adjustments and perform US R&D tax reporting processes for provision estimates and compliance.Work closely with business partners and technical specialists to ensure appropriate preparation and review on technical areasAnalyze and interpret proposed changes to US tax legislation and regulations with regard to the impact on compliance requirements, including communicating needed updates to capital asset systemsLead or support projects related to process improvements, implementation of controls, or other planning initiativesAnalyze and develop responses to support tax authority inquiriesWhat You Have:
Education/Experience: The position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business related degree and 3+ years of progressively responsible tax related experience.Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete complex analysis and steward status updates with timeliness and precision.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts; corresponds with a global audience and avoids tax technical jargon when communicating with business partners.Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches and tools for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to alternatives scenarios with understanding of stakeholder perspectives.Tax Operations: Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and guidance; utilizes tools to identify and gather the information necessary for preparing tax analysis and explains rationale behind U.S. tax impacts.What Will Set You Apart:
Strong tax compliance experience in U.S. federal taxation, including capital assets and R&D tax credit or Sec 174 expensingExperience with Corptax software Strong knowledge of M365 and familiarity with Microsoft Power PlatformStrong communication skills, initiative, analysis, and good judgment Proven ability to manage projectsCollaborative and team-oriented personality with the ability to build and foster relationships throughout the organization Understanding of accounting and business processesWhat You Will Get:
