This role is pivotal in driving the implementation and expansion of our sustainability programme across Continental Europe, focusing on our direct portfolios and assets. You'll report directly to the Continental Europe Direct Sustainability Lead based in Amsterdam and receive strategic direction from the EMEA Head of Sustainability based in London. When relevant, you will also collaborate closely with other members of the team, located throughout EMEA. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a **minimum of 2 years of relevant experience** to make a significant impact on a large scale. They will be adept at wearing multiple hats, possessing strong technical skills alongside data analysis and visualization expertise. Additionally, oral presentation and communication abilities are essential for success in this position. **THE OPPORTUNITY** You will be essential in supporting the delivery of key workstreams and the implementation of CBRE IM’s Global Sustainability Vision at the portfolio and asset level within Continental Europe. You'll play a crucial part in enabling us to achieve our ambitious sustainability targets. Our Global Sustainability team is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the firm's performance against various sustainability objectives, delivering critical sustainability projects, and enabling progress against our targets. We are committed to bringing positive change in our three core sustainability pillars: **Climate, People, and Influence.** **WHAT YOU'LL DO** In this fast-moving role, your responsibilities will include: + Programme Implementation: Supporting the Continental Europe Direct Sustainability Lead with the delivery of our comprehensive sustainability programme across all direct portfolios and assets in Continental Europe. + Decarbonisation & Integrated Renewable Energy Systems: Assisting with the implementation of our ambitious decarbonisation programme (covering both direct and indirect emissions) + Tools & Processes: Supporting the development and roll-out of new sustainability tools and reports, including ESG analytic tools, and driving the ESG data integration project to embed ESG data into our central database. + Reporting: Supporting regulatory and investor reporting whilst collaborating closely with the CBRE IM Sustainability Ambassador network, including but not limited to SFDR, EU Taxonomy, and GRESB. + Data Management & Analysis: Overseeing and maintaining ESG databases, conducting in-depth ESG analyses and research to support the implementation of our Sustainability Vision. + Stakeholder Engagement: Taking part in and co-ordinating key ESG Committees across all investment solutions and corporate operations. You'll also manage client information requests and ESG enquiries and support relationships with wider sustainability team/committees. + Training & Communication: Supporting the production of ESG training material and helping with the development and delivery of client presentations. You'll need to communicate complex strategies eloquently, both orally and in simple visual formats. + Project Management & Research: At times, the role will require project management, and other times you will conduct research that will support and deliver on our Vision. **WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR** + A strong work ethic and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach. Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot a wide range of sustainability challenges as and when they arise + Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met. + Accuracy and exceptional attention to detail. + **Fluency in Dutch and English required** , with strong visual, written, and oral communication skills. + Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team. + Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in speaking to senior stakeholders. + Strong personal motivation to self-improvement and contribute to a more sustainable society. **Experience & Knowledge Specification:** + An undergraduate degree or above in sustainable development, climate change, the built environment, or a related field. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability, preferably within the real estate, finance sector, or professional services in an international environment. + Familiarity and interest in sustainability frameworks and third-party guidelines (e.g., GRESB, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, IFRS, GRI, TCFD, SASB, UN SDGs, PRI, GRESB, LEED/BREEAM etc). + Familiarity working with and interest in third-party ESG data management platforms + Working knowledge of and experience in the real estate industry is an advantage but not essential. **Skills Required:** + Advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office applications. + Familiarity working with AI tools to streamline and accelerate our work (e.g. Microsoft Office CoPilot and CBRE IM proprietary AI application) + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills. + Ability to communicate complex solutions eloquently. + Ability to communicate complex strategies in a simple visual format. **OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY** CBRE IM has committed to net-zero by 2050 or sooner across all our AUM in EMEA.
