Senior Supply Chain Manager, Global Logistics, Domestic First Mile
Description Join Amazon's Global Logistics (GL) team to lead groundbreaking transportation optimization initiatives across our domestic network. In this role, you'll architect innovative solutions to transform our $2.7B inbound transportation network, focusing on efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence. Key job responsibilities - Design and implement end-to-end network optimization strategies across multiple transportation modes - Lead data-driven transformation projects to optimize efficiency across key KPI’s - Develop and scale new operational processes that drive cost and performance improvements - Create and monitor KPIs to measure optimization success and network health - Partner with cross-functional teams to execute network transformation initiatives - Lead strategic business reviews and financial planning sessions with senior leadership - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Transportation, SCOT, and FC teams - Document and scale successful optimization patterns across the network A day in the life Your day begins with analyzing performance metrics and identifying optimization opportunities. You'll collaborate with FC teams to understand operational constraints, partner with various stakeholders on strategic initiatives, and work with engineering teams on technical solutions. You'll spend time conducting data analysis, building business cases, and crafting detailed six-pager documents for leadership review. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment. About the team You'll join the newly formed Global Logistics Product team for DFM Cost, focused on optimizing Amazon's $2.7B annual transportation spend. Our team brings together supply chain experts, product managers, and business intelligence engineers to solve complex transportation challenges. We're passionate about developing innovative solutions that reduce costs while maintaining excellent service levels across our network. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field - 5+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.) - Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc. - 5+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement operations experience in indirect categories. Preferred Qualifications - MBA - 3+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience - 3+ years of profit & loss management experience - Specific experience in driving process improvements in procurement - Technical aptitude and familiarity with complex procurement systems - Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets - If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you! The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
