Senior Superintendent – (Newport, RI)

Project Scope & Complexity

Ground‑up construction of a high‑end commercial building in a coastal New England locationMulti‑story structure with premium finishes and complex architectural detailingSignificant below‑grade work, including a large structured parking componentTight‑site logistics requiring careful planning around active surroundingsCoordination of underground utilities, sitework, and phased construction activitiesWork adjacent to occupied properties, requiring strong communication and safety managementComplex excavation and support‑of‑excavation elements to maintain access and site stability

Key Responsibilities

Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through turnoverManage daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and logisticsEnsure safety, quality, and compliance with plans, specifications, and local regulationsOversee complex excavation, underground work, and utility coordinationMaintain strong communication with project management, design teams, and stakeholdersAnticipate and resolve field issues to keep the project on scheduleUphold high standards of craftsmanship consistent with a luxury hospitality project

Qualifications

15+ years of commercial construction experience, including ground‑up workProven success managing complex, tight‑site, or urban‑style projectsStrong background in excavation, underground structures, and utility coordinationExperience with high‑end hospitality or similar quality‑driven projects preferredExcellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain a safe, organized jobsiteJob Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Newport, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
