Senior Superintendent – (Newport, RI) Project Scope & Complexity + Ground‑up construction of a high‑end commercial building in a coastal New England location + Multi‑story structure with premium finishes and complex architectural detailing + Significant below‑grade work, including a large structured parking component + Tight‑site logistics requiring careful planning around active surroundings + Coordination of underground utilities, sitework, and phased construction activities + Work adjacent to occupied properties, requiring strong communication and safety management + Complex excavation and support‑of‑excavation elements to maintain access and site stability Key Responsibilities + Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through turnover + Manage daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and logistics + Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with plans, specifications, and local regulations + Oversee complex excavation, underground work, and utility coordination + Maintain strong communication with project management, design teams, and stakeholders + Anticipate and resolve field issues to keep the project on schedule + Uphold high standards of craftsmanship consistent with a luxury hospitality project Qualifications + 15+ years of commercial construction experience, including ground‑up work + Proven success managing complex, tight‑site, or urban‑style projects + Strong background in excavation, underground structures, and utility coordination + Experience with high‑end hospitality or similar quality‑driven projects preferred + Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills + Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain a safe, organized jobsite Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Newport, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
