Senior Studio Specialist, Art Direction

Position Purpose:

The Sr Specialist, Art Direction & Interior Design, is responsible for leading Art Direction/Interior Design teams on large projects at The Home Depot’s Photography/Videography Studio. 

The team is charged with making the most attractive, targeted photography and videography possible– mindful of the customer, accuracy, deadlines, and budget constraints. This team works to understand the customer’s objectives, design or plan photography or location sets, submit technical drawings, oversee the fabrication of the set, as well as styling the set and collaborating with the photography team on the aesthetics of the final deliverable. 

The Senior Specialist, Art Direction, is expected to demonstrate innovative problem-solving solutions, inspired leadership, effective communication and successfully deliver projects on time and within budget. S/he must be highly organized and works closely with the Manager, Art Direction to assign and oversee projects within the Art Direction/Interior Design department, ensuring The Home Depot’s Brand Standards are followed. 

Key Responsibilities:

40% - Communication - Partner with stakeholders to communicate project objectives. Daily studio and project communication to keep projects on track.60% - Strategic Production Management - Leads the strategic task of understanding the clients’ needs and wants, what the team can produce, and what works for the production team wholistically. Expected to demonstrate thought leadership and creative problem-solving to meet production objectives. Uses experience and knowledge of production process and guides team members.

Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
 

Physical Requirements:

Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be legally permitted to work in the United States

7 years of Interior Design experience, within a photography/production environment, is preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite SketchUp software experienceA professional portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding and creative execution of the Principles and Elements of Interior DesignAbility to lead and inspire teams of Interior DesignersAbility and desire to work in a fast-paced, agile environment Strong attention to detail 

Minimum Education:
