Senior Staff Accountant - Arlington, VA
Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a growing organization in the Arlington area to identify a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant with hands-on Sage Intacct experience. This role reports directly to the Controller and will support the company's daily and monthly accounting functions while contributing to process improvements and financial accuracy. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, experience with general ledger management, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Primary Responsibilities:Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in Sage IntacctPrepare and post journal entries, month-end accruals, amortizations, and reclassificationsPerform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely mannerSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed, ensuring proper coding and month-end cutoffsAssist in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reportsReview and validate expense allocations, project coding, and departmental financial accuracyContribute to budgeting and forecasting by compiling data, analyzing trends, and collaborating with department leadersAssist with monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and GAAP proceduresMonitor and maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation entries, and supporting documentationCollaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and strengthen internal controlsPrepare reports and schedules for external auditors and assist with annual audit supportParticipate in special projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives within Sage IntacctQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required3-5+ years of professional accounting experience; prior Sage Intacct experience highly preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accountingAdvanced Excel skills and experience working in cloud-based accounting systemsExcellent communication, analytical, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
