Senior Staff Accountant in the Deerfield Beach FL area! This is 5 days a week on site opportunity!

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing general accounting tasks for assigned product lines, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, and actively engaging with the operating management to understand business issues.

ResponsibilitiesConduct general accounting for assigned product lines, including month-end close, physical inventory adjustments, journal entries, and financial statement reviews.Analyze monthly profit and loss statements and provide commentary on significant variances.Engage with operating management to understand business issues and ensure compliance with IFRS in financial reports.Prepare monthly performance measures and balance sheet financial reporting.Perform analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.Participate in product line team meetings to understand initiatives and business issues, and present relevant financial data.Distribute monthly product line financial statements to operations and resolve any unusual items or questions.Prepare additional business reporting and address ad-hoc business inquiries.Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules for mid-year and year-end audits, including tax requests.Assist with monthly forecasting and the annual budgeting process.Guide and support staff accountants as needed.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting.3+ years of professional accounting experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.Knowledge of Hyperion and SAP.Understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Ability to work under time constraints with diverse internal customers.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple processes and projects under tight deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of SOX or public accounting experience.Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Ability to effectively research and resolve ambiguous information.Occasional local travel may be required.Work Environment

This position requires occasional local travel and the ability to work under time constraints with a diverse group of internal customers. You will be reporting to a senior member of the team and collaborating closely with various departments. The work environment encourages proactive engagement and effective communication.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
