Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Staff Accountant who will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position involves general ledger postings, reconciliation of invoices, monthly financial statement reviews, and preparing material recovery statements. You will also be involved in the expansion of sites included in the MRF package and handle yearly compliance requirements, including audits and reviews with external auditors. Additional responsibilities include periodic sales and property tax audits, off-road fuel tax preparation, and business insurance renewals.
ResponsibilitiesPost and review general ledger entries.Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies.Conduct monthly financial statement reviews and prepare MD&A.Prepare material recovery statements, analyze data, and communicate findings.Expand sites included in the MRF package to cover other locations.Participate in yearly compliance requirements, including audit and review engagements.Conduct periodic sales tax and property tax audits.Prepare and submit off-road fuel tax documents.Prepare, set up, and implement new technologies.Renew business insurance and prepare supporting documentation.Engage in miscellaneous projects as needed.Essential SkillsExperience with general ledger entries, chart of accounts, and accounts reconciliations.Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data.Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel.Effective written and verbal communication skills.High accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to manage time and stress effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsAccounts payable experience preferred.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Will provide company benefits package to candidate.
