We are seeking a talented individual to join our Sales Enablement CoE team at Mercer, a Marsh Business. This role will be based in Gurugram. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Senior Specialist – Proposal Specialist
The Sales Enablement CoE function supports Strategic Bid Center while supporting Mercer across multiple geographies & businesses. You will be part of the Sales Enablement function, primarily focusing on Investment Consulting proposals (RFI/RFP/DDQ). In this role, you will work closely with onshore stakeholders to deliver high-quality proposals within tight deadlines. A strong understanding of US investment proposals (RFPs) is essential to succeed in this position.We will count on you to:Develop initial drafts of US Investment consulting proposals aligned with the defined scope of services outlined in RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, ensuring clarity and strategic relevance.Design and customize strawman frameworks and templates tailored to meet specific RFP submission requirements, enhancing proposal compliance and effectiveness.Collect, analyze, and tailor content in accordance with company policies and RFP criteria to deliver compelling, compliant, and client-focused proposals.Effectively prioritize tasks and manage workload to consistently meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.Maintain comprehensive documentation and manage internal tracking systems to support transparency, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.Facilitate proactive and regular communication with key stakeholders for RFP acknowledgments, knowledge sharing, and strategic discussions with proposal strategists.Actively contribute to the enrichment and maintenance of the domain knowledge repository to support organizational learning and proposal excellence.Lead and support process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing proposal development efficiency, quality, and overall effectiveness.What you need to have:
Preferred postgraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Commerce, or other relevant fields. MBA (Finance) and CFA or related field (preferred)3-5 years of experience in a pre-sales/ bid management environmentPrevious experience in proposal writing (US Investments - Defined Contribution (DC) and Defined Benefits (DB) and Not-For-Profits (NFPs) will be preferredGood command of MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word, PowerPoint)Strong written and verbal communicationExperience in sales lifecycle and content management tools like Qorus docs, SharePoint etc. would be preferredWhat makes you stand out:
