Position Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

The CVS Total Search team is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist with a strong foundation in content strategy, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to support CVSHealth.com. The ideal candidate will bring an in-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and a proven record in managing, optimizing, and growing organic search for large-scale brands.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing SEO-focused content briefs, maintaining the content calendar, and reporting on key performance metrics and search trends. You’ll analyze data to identify opportunities, inform content strategies, and deliver actionable insights that drive measurable results.

This role will collaborate closely with content, marketing, analytics, and product teams to ensure the website content is aligned with user intent, optimized for search, and supports broader business objectives.

Key responsibilities

Content Creation & Brief Development

Develop comprehensive SEO content briefs for new and updated web pages, including keyword targets, structure, and internal linking recommendationsEnsure all briefs align with business goals, brand voice, and user needsCollaborate with writers, designers, and editors to bring SEO content to life

Content Calendar Management

Own and manage the SEO content calendar, ensuring alignment with business prioritiesPrioritize and schedule briefs in collaboration with internal stakeholdersEnsure timely execution of content deliverables

Reporting & Search Insights

Monitor and report on organic performance metrics including traffic, rankings, and engagementDeliver monthly performance summaries with actionable insights and growth opportunitiesConduct ad-hoc analysis and support strategic initiativesStay up to date on evolving search trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity

Project Management

Serve as the point of contact for all SEO-related requests, triaging and prioritizing based on impact and resourcesCoordinate cross-functional efforts across partner teams

Required Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a strong focus on content strategy and on-page optimizationProficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, seoClarity, Adobe AnalyticsMust be able to work onsite 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)

Preferred Qualifications

Track record of developing innovative and successful data-driven SEO strategiesIn-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practicesExperience analyzing organic performance and translating insights into clear, actionable recommendationsProven ability to manage SEO content workflows end-to-end, including content brief creation, calendar management, prioritization, and delivery trackingTechnical SEO expertise, including site audits, site speed and crawlability optimization, and resolving indexing issuesExperience with Social Media and understanding how SEO and Social Media channels work together to drive engagement and visibilityA proactive, strategic thinker who stays current on SEO best practices, Google algorithm updates, and emerging search trendsExperience working in a highly regulated industry

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $112,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
