Senior Specialist, ELE Compliance

Work you’ll do

The Employee Lifecycle Events (ELE) Compliance team provides support to key collaborators within and outside of Talent. This position provides support and a level of day-to-day oversight of certain Talent Services (TS) ELE Compliance activities. Scope of activities may include, but are not limited to a combination of the following services, Wage Theft Notices, Workers Compensation, Unemployment Claims, OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) reporting, Employment Law postings, Department of Labor Surveys and Massachusetts Department of Family Medical Leave requirements. This role also provides support to the approval process for Outside Employment & Activities and other activities, as needed. 

Job Responsibilities:

Execute delivery of processes for assigned tasks/functions in accordance with scope of servicesProvide support and contribute to the development of Compliance Processes to optimize efficiency and qualityEnsure processes, policies, and guidelines are followed and escalate as appropriateRespond to inquiries from employees; redirect or escalate as necessary Uses knowledge to identify trends and work with Leads and Management to develop and implement process enhancements Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and key collaborators such as – Office of General Counsel, Office of Confidentiality & Privacy, Information Technology Services, Talent RiskProvide effective communication and follow-through while acting as a dependable and responsive point of contact within and outside of TalentMaintain confidential and highly sensitive information Perform other job-related duties as assignedProvide backup support to the Compliance Leads, including involvement in extra projects as needed

Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and minimum of 3 years of direct compliance and/or human resources experience Microsoft Office experience; HRIS system experienceMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureAbility to travel 0-5%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

Experience with Human Resources Information systems and related processes (SAP, Success Factors, ServiceNow or Salesforce)Knowledge of talent related Federal, State and local regulationsAbility to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environmentAbility to identify issues and escalate accordinglyExperience working independently as well as collaboratively across large teams Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong critical thinking, analysis and creative problem-solving skillsA high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality and ability to work in a highly confidential environmentAbility to interface effectively with employees of all levels within the firmAbility to adapt to a changing environment and to approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulnessExperience in a professional services firm or large/matrix-driven corporation with overseas or outsourced operationsExperience in a shared services function

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,000-$116,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
