Job Description
The Spare Parts Representative is a key member of the aftermarket team, responsible for managing customer interactions, preparing quotes, processing orders, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This role involves supporting strategic initiatives, developing e-commerce platforms, evaluating inventory and pricing strategies, and participating in cross-functional projects to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The position also offers an opportunity for career advancement with the goal of transitioning into a management position.
Responsibilities
+ Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person regarding spare parts availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
+ Assist customers in identifying the correct spare parts based on equipment specifications and technical requirements.
+ Proactively reach out to key customers to understand their needs and utilize historical orders to drive discussions.
+ Prepare and provide quotes, ensuring accurate pricing and lead times.
+ Follow-up on quotes, convert inquiries into sales, and achieve individual and team sales targets.
+ Upsell and cross-sell additional products or services when appropriate.
+ Work closely with the Spare Parts Director to develop customer relationships and advance parts sales.
+ Accurately enter and process orders in the company’s ERP or inventory management system.
+ Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of spare parts.
+ Collaborate with internal teams, including production, supply chain, and procurement, to ensure timely delivery of aftermarket products.
+ Work with suppliers to source aftermarket parts and negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
+ Provide input into demand planning and inventory management processes.
+ Serve as a go-to resource for other spare parts representatives, providing support, guidance, and training as needed.
+ Assist with onboarding and development of new team members.
+ Help foster a team-oriented, high-performance culture aligned with company values and goals.
+ Participate in the continuous improvement of spare parts processes and internal systems.
+ Lead or co-lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, or digital transformation.
+ Support the Spare Parts Director.
+ Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and service requests.
+ Support reporting and performance tracking for spare parts sales and customer service metrics.
+ Track and analyze KPIs related to customer satisfaction, order accuracy, and response time to drive continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in spare parts or aftermarket support for equipment manufacturers.
+ ERP experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Experience supporting spare parts for large industrial machinery or capital equipment is strongly preferred.
+ Excellent client-facing experience and customer service skills.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Supervisory experience is a plus.
+ Infor Visual (ERP system) experience is a plus.
+ Prior experience mentoring or providing informal leadership to others; supervisory experience is preferred.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday during the 1st shift. The dress code is business casual. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
