We’re looking for a Senior Solution Architect with deep expertise in AWS Cloud to design, guide, and influence enterprise‑grade cloud solutions. This is a strategic, architecture‑focused role working across business and technology teams to ensure consistency, scalability, and innovation.

Note: this role requires relocation to Málaga, Spain. While the relocation process is completed, the selected candidate will work remotely on Spanish working hours (CET). Once in Málaga, the position will transition to a hybrid model (onsite + remote).

However, there is also the possibility to perform this role remotely from Colombia, also following Spanish working hours (CET). We are open to both modalities depending on the selected profile.

Key Responsibilities Define and design cloud architectures and solution patterns that meet complex business and technical needs. Produce high‑level and detailed architectural specifications across components, tiers, and interfaces. Lead product and service assessments, comparing AWS and third‑party tools to recommend the best-fit solutions. Drive proofs of concept (PoCs) to validate approaches and demonstrate feasibility. Establish and maintain architecture standards, best practices, and documentation. Provide technical leadership and mentoring during design and architecture reviews. Partner with business, technology, and infrastructure stakeholders to align decisions with strategic goals. Contribute to cloud migration and modernization strategies, including target architectures and roadmaps. Stay up to date with AWS innovations, identifying opportunities for improvement. Advocate for cloud‑native architectures and promote architectural excellence. Experience 5+ years in Cloud Architecture or Technical Application Architecture. Proven leadership of AWS architecture initiatives. Strong solution design background across infrastructure, applications, and integration. English fluency (B2+)  Education Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Skills & Knowledge Expertise in AWS services and cloud‑native architectures. Experience with enterprise architecture, hybrid cloud, and migration strategies. Strong understanding of networking, security, distributed systems, and systems design. Experience with APIs, microservices, and integration patterns. Event‑driven architecture (EDA): messaging, streaming, pub/sub. Understanding of Domain‑Driven Design (DDD). Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift). Familiarity with governance, compliance, and cloud security frameworks. Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams, documentation, and standards. Strong technical evaluation and technology recommendation skills. Soft Skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Ability to influence teams without direct authority. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Strategic, analytical, and long‑term mindset. High adaptability in dynamic and fast‑paced environments. Collaborative, with strong relationship‑building skills. Nice to Have AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or other advanced AWS certifications. Experience with IaC: Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation. Hands‑on work with EventBridge, SNS, SQS, Kafka. Practical application of DDD in complex systems. Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and monitoring tools. Experience with Agile methodologies (JIRA, Confluence).
