What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with a strong focus on AWS Cloud to design and guide enterprise-grade cloud solutions. The role emphasizes architecture, solution patterns, product assessments, proofs of concept, and the definition of best practices. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor, influencing technical direction and ensuring architectural consistency across the organization.

 

Location: Hybrid. Málaga (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office. We are looking for candidates willing to relocate to Málaga

Key Responsibilities

Define and design cloud architectures and solution patterns that meet complex business and technical requirements, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and cost-efficiency. Produce high-level and detailed architectural specifications of cloud-based components, tiers, and interfaces using AWS services. Lead product and service assessments, evaluating AWS offerings and third‑party tools, and provide recommendations aligned with business strategy. Drive the creation of proofs of concept (PoCs) to validate approaches and demonstrate feasibility. Establish and maintain cloud architecture standards, patterns, and best-practice documentation. Provide technical leadership and mentoring, guiding teams in design and architecture reviews. Partner with business, technology, and infrastructure stakeholders to align architectural decisions with strategic objectives. Contribute to cloud migration and modernization strategies, defining target architectures and adoption roadmaps. Stay current with AWS advancements and industry trends, identifying opportunities for improvement. Advocate for cloud‑native architectures and promote architectural excellence across teams.

 

Experience

5+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Technical Application Architecture, or related fields. Proven track record leading cloud architecture initiatives, preferably on AWS. Strong background in solution design across infrastructure, applications, and integration. Fluency in English (Spanish is a plus).

 

Skills & Knowledge

Expertise in AWS services and cloud-native architectures. Experience defining enterprise-level architectures, hybrid cloud, and migration strategies. Deep understanding of systems design, networking, security, and distributed architectures. Strong knowledge of application integration, APIs, and microservices design. Experience with event-driven architectures (EDA). Understanding and application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD). Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or equivalents). Familiarity with governance, compliance frameworks, and cloud security. Experience producing architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical standards. Ability to evaluate, compare, and recommend technologies and services.
