As Senior Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementation of Cepheid next generation software products. This position is part of the R&D Department and will be located in Bangalore, IDC, India. This position reports to the Engineering Manager, R&D and will be an onsite role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Design, code and maintain molecular diagnostics application software using predominantly Java and Angular + Drive end-to-end quality with effective automation of unit level, component level and system level testing + Take ownership and drive projects to completion following Agile lean software development processes + Conduct design reviews of software implementations and document the detailed designs. + Be a team player who collaborates with cross functional teams members from firmware, hardware, technical support and software quality teams. The essential requirements of the job include: + Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 4+ years of full stack development experience + Minimum of 4+ years of hands‑on development using Java and Angular for front‑end and back‑end applications + Experience developing and deploying software on AWS cloud environments + Expertise in low‑level software design engineering and Object‑Oriented Design using established design patterns + Proven experience implementing scalable software architectures using Java, Angular, and OOD principles It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + As an AWS certified developer + A background in leveraging AI to improve operational performance. + Experience working with distributed teams in a global setting.
