Key Responsibilities      

Own all aspects of software development for assigned applications and perform hands-on architecture, design, and improvement of systemsDo requirements gathering, analysis, design and development of integration solutions and APIsConnect with stakeholders and business partners the solution and the implementation aspects at a technical and/or functional level appropriate for the situationPartner with technical architects and the architecture governance technical team for solution development and design reviewsLead and mentor teams of junior and senior engineersFunction as a senior member of an agile team and to drive consistent development practices when it comes to tools and common componentsDevelop deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domainsWork closely with product owners on blueprints and annual planning of feature sets that impact multiple platforms and productsSpend 30-50% of the time writing code and testing, and the remainder of time leading the team and internal customers through ongoing product/platform release meetingsFind opportunities to adopt innovative technologies

Minimum Qualifications                

10 + years of development experience.Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions on time and to spec.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Deep understanding of Java programming with Spring Framework.Hands on experience with Core Java , multithreading, backend processing, transforming large data volumesHands on experience with design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate.Hands on experience in developing APIs / Micro ServicesHands on experience with any unit test libraries such as Junit.Hands on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or equivalent relational databases.Hands on experience with Couchbase or any No-SQL databaseHands on experience with code quality tools like SonarHands on experience in design & development of scalable & reliable systems.Hands on experience in building Continuous delivery pipeline, Integration and Deployment, DevOps, and test-driven development.Experience in supporting mission critical platforms with high levels of availability and service continuity.Experience in cloud-based architecture and distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications    

Master's degree in computer science or equivalent or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 + years in application development.Working knowledge of React and other Front-end frameworks is a plus.
