Senior Software Engineer - Android

**About the Role**
We are looking for passionate Software Engineers to join our Hailables Product team. In this role, you will help design and implement innovative solutions that enhance app usability and experience for both riders and drivers.
**What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points**

1. Collaborate and work within a team with other engineers, Product Managers, Designers and others to build towards the roadmap.
2. Write high quality code and uphold standards for code quality and testing coverage.
3. Contribute to engineering operational areas on quality, monitoring, and on-call practices.
4. Mentor other fellow engineers
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
1. Proven knowledge of Android development is a must-have, with at least 5 years of experience in the industry.
2. Architecture skills: Knowledge of data structures and an eye for architecture. Ability to discuss the tradeoff between architectural choices, both on a theoretical and applied level.
3. High coding standards (TDD, Clean Code).
4. Proven track record within a production environment.
5. A phenomenal teammate approach: Believes in achieving more as a team, relies on others' feedback for continuous improvement.
6. Understanding business and design requirements, attention to detail leading to a delightful user experience.
\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----
1. UI/UX Sensibility: A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating intuitive, user-centric mobile interfaces. Experience collaborating closely with product designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive UIs.
2. Cross-Platform Proficiency: Proven experience or willing to learn developing and shipping high-quality applications on at least one major mobile platform (iOS or Android), with a strong desire and demonstrated ability to learn and contribute to the other.
3. Experience in developing apps used at scale.
