Autodesk's Platform Services and Emerging Technology (PSET) team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale our Data Platform Control Plane. You'll design and build a scalable data platform with intelligent orchestration systems that manage data workflows, architect metadata-driven automation for storage and compute resources, and create self-service control mechanisms that ensure platform reliability while empowering Autodesk teams to deliver impactful customer features.
You will tackle complex distributed systems challenges, build sophisticated workflow orchestration engines, and develop the control plane services that enable seamless data operations across our product ecosystem. Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering4+ years building and running large-scale systems in production environmentsStrong programming skills in Go or python with deep understanding of distributed systems and orchestration patternsProven experience building microservices architectures, workflow engines, and designing RESTful/event-driven APIsIntermediate knowledge of AWS services with demonstrated ability to quickly learn data orchestration technologiesStrong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of AWS data services (EKS, EMR, S3, GDC, Lake Formation)Deep experience with workflow orchestration platforms (Airflow, Temporal) and event-driven architecturesHands-on experience with big data technologies (Spark, Trino, Kafka) and understanding their orchestration requirementsExperience with metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage tracking systemsExperience with enterprise observability and data quality monitoring tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk)Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to control plane architecture decisionsExperience working in cross-functional teams with data engineers, data scientists, and product managers#LI-KS2
