The position requires 6–8 years of experience with strong Java and Cloud Platform expertise (AWS preferred), designing and implementing highly scalable, secure, API-based services. The engineer will collaborate with Staff Engineers, Architects on end-to-end cloud design, lead delivery planning, ensure code quality through reviews, and act as a senior point of contact for resolving complex customer issues. The core accountability is translating business requirements into robust, high-performance security code. **Responsibilities** As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical leader focused on the full software development lifecycle: + Design & Architect: Collaborate closely with the Architect to analyze product requirements and design robust, end-to-end cloud solutions that meet demanding standards for scalability, availability, performance, and cost optimization. + Develop & Implement: Lead the development of high-quality, native Cloud/API-based software solutions, focusing on creating clean interfaces, efficient abstractions, and deploying secure code. + Drive Process: Own the estimation, prioritization, and planning of project deliveries, ensuring timely and predictable feature releases across development cycles. + Ensure Quality: Actively participate in weekly code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring all code changes—both programmatic and logical—are thoroughly understood for their system-wide impact. + Customer Advocacy & Support: Serve as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot complex customer issues, leading the end-to-end resolution process in collaboration with product and cross-functional development teams. + Documentation: Translate problem statements into actionable technical specifications, documenting user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and detailed designs. **Required Skills & Qualifications** + Experience: 6–8 years of solid professional experience in software design and development, specifically building web-based and API-driven applications. + Programming Mastery: Deep expertise and solid coding skills using Java are required. + Cloud Engineering: Proven experience with cloud platforms like AWS, or Azure or GCP along with experience in designing, deploying, scaling, and debugging resilient, cost-optimized cloud-based applications. + Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture for cloud components, including knowledge of its trade-offs and best practices for scaling. + Data Expertise: Experience working with both NoSQL and SQL databases in a high-throughput environment. + Design & Problem Solving: Proven ability to convert ambiguous business problem statements into well-defined technical designs and reliable implementations. + Mindset: A strong commitment to building secure, highly performant, and usable solutions, with a passion for addressing challenging customer security needs. **Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications** These qualifications are not mandatory but would significantly enhance the candidate's value and ability to contribute immediately to a specialized cloud security team: + Security Domain Expertise: Prior experience working with cybersecurity domain and/or certifications is an added plus. + Containerization/Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (e.g., EKS in AWS) for deploying and managing microservices at scale. + CI/CD Automation: Experience defining and optimizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins. + Modern Frameworks: Experience with modern Java frameworks outside of core Spring/Spring Boot (e.g., reactive programming frameworks, specialized cloud SDKs). + Scripting/Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for system automation, tooling. **_Company Benefits and Perks:_** We believe that the best solutions are developed by teams who embrace each other's unique experiences, skills, and abilities.
